The Canadian Tire PeeWee
Leo Jets started their hockey season off Friday Oct 18th
in Ennismore against the Eagles.
The Jets were playing great, with lots of shots on net but by the end of the second period the Eagles were up 3-0. In the third, Caiden Foster put the Jets on the scoreboard with two goals, assisted by Jayden Fransky and Cate Cox. Ennismore answered back with two goals of their own, beating the Jets 5-2.
On Saturday the Jets had their hands full at their home opener, playing the strong Havelock Hawks. The Jets worked very hard but came up short. Final score was 12-1 for Havelock. Jets goal was scored in the second period by Cox.
Sunday we were home again and ready for our rematch against Ennismore. It was a very exciting game with lots of end to end action. The Jets were up 5-4 until the Eagles scored a goal with two seconds left in the game to finish the game in a 5-5 tie. Jets goals were scored by Josh Mills, Cox, Riley Brownlee, Fransky and Foster.
Goalie Kaylee Jessup battled hard for our team all weekend. Great effort this weekend Jets!
