VOLUNTEERING
There are many ways to get your 6 hours of volunteering in with out being involved full time. :) You can get your hours all in at once or volunteer here and there throughout the season.
High School Students can also volunteer, they can start the summer before entering grade nine. ;)
Each team does have duties that can be done throughout the season such as washing jerseys, taking the water bottles, 50/50, fundraising organization etc...
The Association also has tournaments every season that need volunteers that will form a committee that will organize them, and then there are volunteers that only help out the day of the tournament.
Every year in August the Association holds a
HUGE fundraiser that brings in the biggest chunk of our fundraising dollars for the organization, Tri-Sport. This event is a multi day event that requires many hands to help make the load lighter for everyone. We need a small committee of people to help organize specific parts of the tournament, under the supervision of the event coordinator. We will also need volunteers to help time keep, score keep, umpire, bar tend and much more; even an hour of time helps. You don't have to spend the whole weekend there. You can help for an hour or two, you can come and go through out the weekend, or be a part of the committee. OR better yet gather 12 men or 12 women and put in a team! This is a good way for students just starting high school to get a jump on their hours for school. Without this event and it's continued success, player registrations fees would be much more. Lets help keep this event running successfully!
