Bancroft is excited to participate once again in
Kraft Hockeyville. With a history dating back to 1972-1973, our arena proudly boasts a 53-year legacy.
If these walls could talk.
The past half century has seen our arena host countless milestones, achievements, and stories that are truly remarkable. We invite you to share your stories and photos, from the good old days to the present.
Our current focus in stage #1 is collecting story submissions, with a particular emphasis on ramping up our rally points to advance to the next stage. Stories are the most important part of this stage of the contest. Each story submission gives us 10 points in the rally. Here are the three questions that are asked:
1. Tell us about your community's spirit and its passion for hockey. Can you describe or explain examples of how this comes to life?
2.Tell us about your arena. Why is it important to you, your family, and your community?
3. Explain how your community will use the $250,000 to upgrade and improve your arena. You can type in your story in the three sections or submit a video. Video's to be less than 100mb and less than 2 minutes in length - answering the three questions above.
Please go to
this link and submit your stories there. Items that are on our list of needs are: Dehumidifier, accessible washrooms, new dressing rooms, new score board, foyer improvements. There is no lack of items that need replacing or upgrading, but these are definitely at the top of the list and the most expensive that meet the criteria of the contest.
