Friday the 13th was an ill-fated night for Ennismore 1 when playing the Bierworth Bantam Jets here in town. It was a two goal night for three Jets; Riley Wilson, Josh Boyd and Dylan Brownlee. It was a night for doubles as three players each earned two assists: Dylan Cox, Ethan Simpson and Caleb Grant. The score sheet showed other goals by Simpson, Generick, Grant and Hunt. The final was 10-1 for the local lads.
Norwood Hornets hosted the Bierworth Bantam Jets on December 15. Boyd's opening face-off, and the Jets continuing North Hastings hustle, led to firing plenty of shots on net, but nothing on the scoreboard at the end of the first period.
Hunt's bar down beauty was assisted by Stewart. Wilson scored with a well-placed shot, from the side, that went off the back of the goalie. Grant brought us up to 3-0, assisted by Armstrong. Soon, a role reversal saw Grant providing the distraction so Armstrong could wait out the goalie and snap our 4th goal. Boyd's leading cross-ice pass, caught Dylan Cox astride and on his way to a clear breakaway to post our 5th goal. Hunt worked the puck up the ice and assisted a well-positioned Genrick for the 6th. Jer #7 rung in our 7th goal with a blistering shot - top glove-side that Brady Hunt would not be denied. Congrats Bailey Robinson and the defense for a shutout. Final score 7-0.
