CARSTAR Atom Jets Close Regular Season on the Ascent
The CARSTAR Bancroft Auto Body Atom Rep Jets closed out their regular season this past weekend just concurrent with the holiday season. The Jets closed things out on a positive note through both contests.
On Saturday, the Jets welcomed the Centre Hastings Grizzlies to the NHCC, for the teams’ second meeting of the season. Thanks to the focus of goaltender Rylan Musclow who gave the Jets some timeto work off their holiday season ‘festovers’, holding the Jets in the game with a slow start. With strong play, the contest concluded with a 4-1 win over the Grizzlies. Notable team-wide effort was the key to success in this game, earning the Jets their fifth win of the regular season.
Sunday’s match was the Jets’ final game of the season, facing the league-leading Campbellford Colts onthe road. The Jets played with courage and heart against the speed skating, sniping Colts, with notable strong performances by Lucas Peelow, Jack Peters, and again, goalie Rylan Musclow. Despite the loss,the Jets fought hard, scoring 4 goals against a formidable opponent.
This coming weekend, the Jets are heading to the annual Atom Liftlock Tournament in Peterborough, toput their skills to the test against teams from all over the region.
OMHA playdowns are set to begin by mid-January, with schedule to be confirmed and posted on the BDMHA website at www.bancroftjets.com.
