Atom Rep Jets Split Road Games On the Road
The CARSTAR Bancroft Auto Body Atom Rep Jets travelled south to Wellington and Napanee this pastweekend, and were able to return home with a win in one of the two games, as planned.
Saturday’s test was against the Wellington Kings, whom are battling for the top of the league standings.
The CARSTAR Jets came out strong in the first period, battling hard against the Kings persistent offense,
and kept the score within reach until the second period, when the Jets slowed, and the Kings capitalized
on some key chances. In the third period, the Jets managed the game to their normal high standard,
and held the Kings scoring. Final score Kings 6, Jets 1.
The game on Sunday was an opportunity for the Jets to bounce back from Saturday’s contest and close-
out the weekend on a positive note. A full team and sustained effort for the game was noted by Jets
coaching staff, and the players were rewarded with a resounding 9-2 win over the Napanee AE Stars.
Offensive highlights to Kieran Cox, Mason Gibson, Reid McEathron, and Riley Kavanagh, balanced by
strong defensive play by goalie Rylan Musclow, Joel Robertson, Lucas Peelow, and Jack Peters.
This weekend, the CARSTAR Jets face off at home with games at 1:30pm Saturday and Sunday, with the
Jets looking to push up their rank in the league standings. Things are heating up with the Jets, please
come out and support them this weekend!
