Novice Rep Jets Out-chance the Dukes
The Wilson Timber Mart Novice Rep Jets hosted the Dukes of Douro on Saturday at the NHCC.  The Jets have shown strong growth in their past several games, greatly out-chancing their opponents with hard offensive play and strong defensive coverage and quick breakouts.

At the end of the first period, the game remained scoreless, with back and forth play by both teams.  Early in the second, the Jets got on the board first, with a nice goal by Brody Harrison, unassisted. Later in the second, the Dukes potted two unanswered goals, with strong rebound play after great saves by the Jets goalie Rylan Musclow.  The score was 2-1 for the Dukes at the end of the second.

The Jets pressed hard in the third, protecting defensively and keeping the pressure on offensively, but were answered by a final goal from the Dukes late in the third.  The Jets scoring chances numbered in the teens, but a hot Dukes goalie kept turning away the Jets’ chances.

The Jets are on the road this coming weekend before the holiday season break, playing in Campbellford on Friday evening and Ennismore on Saturday.  The Jets end their regular season play on the weekend of January 6th with games on Saturday and Sunday at home.

On behalf of the Novice Rep Jets hockey team, we thank you for your support in 2017, and wish everyone a safe and fun holiday season!
