The Vito's Pizzeria Peewee Jets collect four more points in regular season play
The Vito's Pizzeria Peewee Jets collected four more points in regular season play this past week starting with a commanding 16-2 win over the Douro Dukes at home on Tuesday night and then a 3-2 win over the Campbellford Colts on the road.

The game against the Dukes, which saw every member of the team hit the score sheet, was a good example of the team effort spectators have become accustomed to. Connor Sobry and Colson Jenkins each had a hat trick in the game while Owen Fergusson, Brady Hunt and Cody Switzer collected a pair of goals a piece.  Scoring singles was Tanner Potts, Trevor McDowell, Keegan Anderson, and Tyson Carr.  Pitching in with the helpers was Eric Hall (3), Jenkins (2), Anderson (2), Fergusson, McDowell (2), Sobry (2), Ryker Huygens (2), Switzer, Todd Redmond, James Armstrong, Jonathan Young and Carr.  Ben Landry and Phillip Cannon each saw some action between the pipes as they shared the goaltending duties.

On Saturday, the team headed to Campbellford for their first clash of the season with the Colts.  The Jets got out to a slow start, ran into some penalty trouble and found themselves trailing by a goal at the end of the first period.  In the second, the Jets pushed hard and fired everything they had at the Colts' net minder.  It was beginning to seem as though the Colts' goalie might steal the game for his team, but the Jets' were relentless and their efforts finally paid off as Huygens, assisted by Carr and Hall, found the back of the net to tie the game at one a piece.  The Jets would take a one goal lead before the end of the second period on a rocket of a shot by Jenkins, assisted by Fergusson, but the Colts would even things up again mid way through the third.  Fergusson sealed the 3-2 win when he buried the game winner on a feed from Anderson and McDowell.  Ben Landry made several big saves in net to record the win.

The Vito's Pizzeria Peewee Jets will head to Pembroke next weekend to participate in the 32nd Regional Silver Stick tournament.
