Success in Stirling for the Vito's Pizzeria Peewee Jets
The Vito's Pizzeria Peewee Jets travelled to Stirling this past weekend to take part in the Stirling Blues Ice breaker tournament.  The Jets went undefeated in the tournament and skated away with some hardware and title of Tournament Champs!

In the first game, the Jets faced the Prince Edward County Kings and defeated them by a score of 3-1.  Keegan Anderson, Trevor McDowell and Colson Jenkins scored for the Jets while Owen Fergusson (2), Jenkins, Anderson and Tanner Potts collected the assists.  Phillip Cannon handled the goaltending duties for the game and looked sharp.

Next up was the host team, the Stirling Blues.  The Jets played a tight defensive game while Ben Landry turned away every shot he faced between the pipes to earn the 2-0 shutout.  Lighting the lamp for the Jets was Jenkins and Anderson.  Fergusson, Tyson Carr and McDowell provided the helpers.

In the tournament final, the Jets found themselves in a rematch with the Prince Edward County Kings and while it was the Kings that got on the board first, the Jets battled hard and earned the 3-2 win.  Jenkins continued on his hot streak and netted two goals while Anderson got in on the action with one of his own.  Picking up the assists on the goals was Anderson (2), Jenkins, Carr (2), and Jonathan Young.  Cannon picked up the win in net.

Next up the Peewees will host the Mineral Capital Cup Tournament.  Action gets underway on Saturday (Sept 24th) at 8am at the North Hastings Community Center.
