On Sunday, Dec 15th the Canadian Tire PeeWee Leo Jets traveled to Tweed to face the Hawks. The game was exciting and highly entertaining.
The Jets' Cate Cox opened up the scoring late in the first period. Tweed answered back with two goals in the first period. The second period saw more end to end action resulting in one goal for each team. Jets goal was scored by Kayl Sobry. Fans were on the edge of their seats in the third period as both teams had many chances and the Jets fearless goalie, Kaylee Jessup was stopping every puck that came at her, helping the Jets stay in the game. Late in the third Kloe Jessup scored for the Jets but the Hawks answered back with one more of their own before the buzzer. Final score Tweed 4, Bancroft 3.
The Canadian Tire PeeWee Leo Jets have two home games this weekend before their Christmas break. We play against Douro Sat Dec 21st at 4:30 pm and Sun Dec 22nd against Tweed again at 3pm.
